            Deborah A. Stewart

            Deborah A. Stewart has been living in Naples since 1977. Ms. Stewart earned her undergraduate degree from Barry University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. She passed the Florida Bar in 1994. After practicing for most of her career with a local firm, she founded her own firm in 2006 and now concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, real property law, and related litigation. 

            For many years, she participated in a legal education program “The Law and Your Future,” which aired on local television and radio stations educating the public on legal matters mostly related to estate planning. 

            Ms. Stewart is a member of various Sections of the American, Florida, and Collier County Bar Associations, including the Real Property and Trust and Estate Sections. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the of the Collier County Bar Association as well as the Collier County Legal Aid Society, and was Chair of the Lawyers Referral Service Committee. She has participated in the Mock Trial program of the CCBA. She has also served as officer and director for other various professional and community organizations, including Past President of The Rotary Club of Naples and more recently served on the Board of Directors of The Forum Club of Southwest Florida.

            She was honored to have been invited to deliver the Commencement Speech to the 2017 graduating class of Florida SouthWestern State College.

            Michael A. Schmidt

            Michael A. Schmidt, Esq. practices in estate planning, estate administration, and real estate. Michael was born and raised in Naples and graduated from the Community School of Naples. He then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University.

            Michael returned to Florida, earning his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. While earning his law degree, Michael clerked for Helinger DeYoung focusing on complex real estate litigation and protecting private property rights.

            We provide legal advice on the various contracts involved in a real estate transaction, prepare the various legal documents required, and, as an Agent of Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc., through its joint venture with Old Republic National Title Insurance 乐福彩票代理, Florida’s largest title insurance underwriter, insures the title to your property and in the process protects your property rights in both residential and commercial transactions.

            Fiduciary Representation

            Your fiduciaries are those persons or entities you have named in your Durable Power of Attorney, Advance Directive, Last Will and Testament, and Trusts to act to carry out your wishes.  If during your life you become physically or mentally incapacitated, on your behalf, we  provide the proper advice to your fiduciary explaining their duties to you and providing guidance to them in carrying out your wishes.  We provide the same services to your fiduciaries after your passing, whether that be the Personal Representative named in your Last Will or the Trustees you have appointed in your Trust documents. 

            If necessary, we are also available to act as your fiduciary, both during your life and upon your death, in the event you do not have suitable family members or you prefer an objective third party to act with a family member, or you prefer an individual fiduciary as opposed to a corporate fiduciary.
